In the Percussions workshop we’ll learn the playing techniques of drums like djembe and conga. We’ll be looking for the “tone of the beat” with the help of African and South American rhythms. Finding the shared beat is essential in music! This workshop is great for both beginners and more advanced percussion players. We will provide instruments for all participants, but if you happen to have e.g. a djembe of your own, you are more than welcome to take it with you. |
| Workshop teacher Pekka Nyman is a freelance-musician from Kirkkonummi. Percussions are his primary instrument. Playing, educating, arranging and producing. He has been the leader of one of the most famous Finnish gospel-choirs, Jakaranda, for more than twenty years. |  |
