Textile Arts

In this workshop we'll dive into the world of colors, different materials and shapes. Depending on possibilities and wishes we'll try techniques that combine fine arts and handicrafts, f.e. needlework, cloth printing, felting, making jewellery and crochet. We'll also learn how to make the most of recycled material.

To participate in this workshop, you need an experimental mindset and courage to be creative. You can bring with you inspiring material, f.e. old favorite clothes or broken/wrong-colored drapery etc. We aim for casual atmosphere with inspiring projects to work on.

The teacher of the workshop is Pilvi Keskitalo. She'll soon graduate as craft and art teacher. Pilvi is interested in combaning fine arts and craft and using recycled material.

Pilvi has worked at Finnish Lutheran Missions Creative Confirmation Camps. She's also one of the founders of art  society Vera. Vera designs, produces and sells crafts in christian events. Part of the profit goes to mission work.
